Hilding Anders produces and sells multi-brand mattresses and boxspring beds. They asked me to help them with a new sub-brand Eastborn Urban. Outcome of the industry specific trendresearch which I did for this client, was insight into trendy sports clothes, cars-design and wellness as a daily activity, as the most important source of inspiration for the design of the new box spring brand.

Based on this I developed a duotone colour and textile collection, combining leather and textiles together in one piece of furniture. I created also the pattern design for the mattress thicking and I was responsible for the shape of the box spring bed. Casual comfort, a technical form and a striking combination of fabrics and details are combined into one stylish design where bed and mattress are more integrated.

The design was nominated for the Balthazar Award.
